The Grants.gov Program Management Office has been notified by the System for Award Management (SAM) Program Management Office that there could be potential issues with NEW SAM.gov registrations. The following message has been posted to the SAM.gov and FSD.gov homepages:
ALERT: Do not begin a new registration in SAM today Wednesday, 22 May 2013. A technical issue may prevent you from submitting the new registration. GSA will update this notice later today with more information. This issue only impacts new registrations and not migrated registrations and updates.
As Grants.gov receives additional information, this message will be updated.

GSA to Host a Free SAM.gov Webinar - Registration Info Included
Back by popular demand, the General Services Administration will be hosting an encore session to the webinar held on May 15th. During that session, grantees were given instructions on how to create new System for Award Management (SAM) accounts; migrate their accounts from Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to SAM; and, update/renew an existing registration.
The encore webinar will be held on Monday, June 3 at 2 p.m. and will continue to focus on GRANTEES previously registered in CCR.

UPDATE: Grants.gov System Maintenance Alert - Production and Training AT07
UPDATE (May 10, 2013): Please note that the Training environment (ONLY) will be undergoing maintenance an additional day. The new dates for maintenance on the training environment will be Saturday, May 18th, 2013 at 12:01AM (EST) through Monday, May 20th, 2013 at 11:59PM (EST).

The General Services Administration (GSA) will be hosting a SAM.gov Grantee Account Migration webinar, on May 15, 2013.

Host: GSA/FAS Office of the Integrated Award Environment
Date of Event: Wednesday, May 15, 2013
Time of Event: 2 - 3 p.m. EST
This course is geared to those who are interested in becoming eligible to receive federal grants from the government and who previously registered their organization in Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Create a new SAM user account
- Migrate permissions from the legacy CCR system into SAM
- Update/renew an existing registration

All interested participants should register using the link above. The webinar is available for the first 1,500 participants that log-in to the session. We anticipate that registration will exceed the available capacity. If you are unable to attend, please note that the webinar will be recorded and posted to SAM.gov approximately one week following this event.
